Much of the information has been provided by family I have in the Netherlands and they bike and they are smart – so there is definitely some helpful tips here.
A-bike.ue – A-Bike rental and tours. They have a few locations. One of them is near Dam Square in Amsterdam. They have good reviews.
Irene recommended Gore-tex clothing. https://www.gore-tex.com They look to have some good outerwear.
